The story

Grammatik Drammatik is a Romanian brand born in 2023 from a simple idea: words have power, and so do perfumes. The brand introduces itself as “a collection of fragrances inspired by eccentric expressions” that embody the “NO DRAMA” philosophy of a new generation. No posing and no tragedies: you show yourself as you are, without taking yourself too seriously. “It's not about perfection, it's about being you”, says its manifesto, which closes with a line that has become a motto: “You're not here to impress, you're here to express yourself”.

Each perfume is a neologism, printed on the label together with its definition, like a dictionary entry. Sexorcism: “sleeping with someone new to get over an ex”. Ambitchous: “be more of a bitch than the average bitch”. Imp-ish: “do naughty things for fun”. Haptic: “can't touch this”. NFI: “no f...king idea”. It is a fresh vocabulary that, in the brand's words, “enables self-expression through both language and olfaction” and helps people recognise one another: the stated aim is a community of like-minded individuals, “people who share the same language, attitude, and way of being”.

The five fragrances were released together in 2023 and were created with three perfumers: Vanessa Prudent signs Sexorcism, Cristiano Canali signs Ambitchous, Chris Maurice signs Imp-ish, Haptic and NFI. The formulas follow the philosophy of the house too: the brand speaks of compositions “intentionally embracing imperfect blends as a statement of authenticity”. The result is five very different characters: a gourmand of caramel and hazelnut, a tropical floral with coffee and rum, a pineapple citrus, a fruity scent of strawberry and coconut, a spicy woody with lavender and cypriol.

The bottles can be recognised from afar: the same squared shape, glass and cap in a single solid colour, a label in a contrasting colour. Red and pink for Sexorcism, purple and yellow for Ambitchous, fuchsia and green for Imp-ish, yellow and orange for Haptic, lime and light blue for NFI. They are all Eau de Parfum in 100 ml bottles, made with no distinction of gender. In Italy the brand is at home at Pitti Immagine, in Florence, where it has exhibited at both Pitti Fragranze and Pitti Uomo. Five perfumes, five new words and only one rule: no drama.
