The story

Liquides Imaginaires was born in Paris from the idea of Philippe Di Méo, a designer, whom the maison introduces as its artistic brain. It made its debut in 2011 with Les Eaux Delà, the trilogy of Sancti, Fortis and Tumultu. The aim, the maison writes, is “to return to the very essence of perfume” and to highlight its magical dimension, its power to transform whoever wears it. That is why each fragrance is conceived as a talisman: a symbolic creation with great emotional power.

Here the story always comes first. The brief Di Méo hands to the fragrance houses starts from tales and legends, and the fragrances take the form of trilogies: “three fragrances as three chapters of the book”. Les Eaux Delà is devoted to the sacred power of perfume; Les Eaux Sanguines, from 2013, draws its inspiration from holy wines; Les Eaux Imaginaires flows through dreamed lands; Les Eaux de l'Est, from 2019, follows the journey of perfumes from East to West along the routes of the spice merchants. Then come Les Eaux de Peau, a tribute to our most instinctive nature, the Alchemical Trilogy, born from the communion between the power of liquids and the soul of metals, and Les Eaux de l'Âme, which translates the invisible movements of the soul into fragrance.

The city is part of the story too. In April 2013 Liquides opened in the Marais, the perfume bar designed by Di Méo himself; in spring 2017 the maison brought a temporary boutique under the arcades of the Palais-Royal, and in October 2018 it opened its first flagship in Beijing. The bottle is recognisable at once by its cap, which recalls an amphora: the vessel in which the most precious essences were kept in ancient times. The compositions carry leading signatures: Sonia Constant for Sancti, Fortis and Dom Rosa, Louise Turner for Blanche Bête, Quentin Bisch and Nisrine Bouazzaoui Grillié for Liquide Gold, Desert Suave and Tapis Volant.

What is the difference between Blanche Bête and Blanche Bête Limited Edition?
The fragrance is the same. Blanche Bête Limited Edition is the 2025 edition in a dedicated design: a milky white bottle and a silver-trimmed box. Here you will find it as a gift box, with the 100 ml bottle and the 30 ml Blanche Bête hand cream. Blanche Bête in the classic 100 ml bottle is always in the collection.

Are Liquide and Liquide Gold the same perfume?
Yes. Liquide Gold is the name under which the golden fragrance of the Alchemical Trilogy was launched in 2022; today the maison's website simply calls it Liquide, as written on the bottle. It is an amber floral Eau de Parfum with saffron, mandarin, orange blossom, carrot seed and vanilla. From the same trilogy you will also find Lunatique here.

Dom Rosa is the scent of rosé champagne: it was born in 2013 in the Les Eaux Sanguines collection, which draws its inspiration from holy wines. It is a floral woody Eau de Parfum signed by Sonia Constant: champagne accord, grapefruit and pear in the opening, Damask rose, clove and incense in the heart, cedarwood, vetiver and guaiac wood in the base.
