Stéphane Humbert Lucas embarks on the symbolic adventure of the serpent and the 777 collection
Stephane Humbert Lucas

S téphane Humbert Lucas embarks on the symbolic adventure of the serpent ,

collecting stories and legends from all over the world. Totemic animal, majestic for different peoples, or even ornaments, incarnations and mistrusts.

Nothing more delightful and inspiring than creating a collection that recalls carnivals and distant theaters, whether honorary or musical, philosophical or sacred, based on this sensual and breathtaking monster. Finding the fabulous story, the beautiful character, the attraction, the color and the fragrance, like Ariadne's thread, making it possible to remain faithful to desire and obsession, and find the right suit, the right combination, the formula, like a saga, an opera, a book of stories.

It is a journey made of successive undulations and connections, like a meticulous archaeological work, which combines speed and slowness.

Soleil de Jeddah Collection - In the Western imagination, the Orient is synonymous with luxury and refinement. The sumptuousness of luminous fabrics, the intoxicating spicy and floral notes, the fragrances, the decorations from The Thousand and One Nights, the mystical atmosphere of the harems and the fantasies that reside within them.

Stephane Humbert Lucas

Painter and poet, Stephane Humbert Lucas studied painting in the south of France with a Flemish master . He specialized in tempera painting and developed an obsession with combinations of pigments and their textures.

Convinced that every color has a scent, he discovers his own form of synesthesia, a perceptual phenomenon in which the stimulation of his sight is able to simultaneously activate his sense of smell.
Mixing colors thus becomes a new way of creating perfumes.

“I don’t invent smells. I rearrange them and invite them to combine. I make combinations, I am a tailor of the invisible.
Yet, I “see” my fragrances, each material, each accord vibrates with the colours and sometimes these colours emit a sound.

I don't invent smells, just like I don't invent pink or indigo, they are in our unconscious.
I ask them to live together, to be as beautiful as the others, they are my harmony.

The 777 Collection alludes precisely to this imagery, to which the author's philosophical and spiritual approach is added.

Born from the beautiful memory of one of his many trips to the Middle East , Stéphane Humbert Lucas was inspired by the burning heat and dazzling light during his visit to Jeddah to create the first fragrance of the 777 collection .

1 DNA, 3 visions
Like the Impressionist painters, Stéphane Humbert Lucas reveals his obsession with this divine glow and invites us to immerse ourselves in the heart of the Orient, from dawn to dusk.
