Eau de Moe perfumes: the olfactory portraits of a family
The story
Eau de Moe is the most personal project of Moe Khalaf, co-founder and creative director of Kajal. Behind him is a long career in luxury perfumery, between Yves Saint Laurent and Estée Lauder, and since 2014 the fragrances of Kajal. But it is to his family that he owes his way of looking at the world: he says that his mother, to this day, asks him every time they talk whether he has done a good deed. From this bond comes a brand of its own, created together with his brother Tariq and his sisters Hala and Leen.
The idea, in the maison's own words, is to share a fusion of “scent and art”. Each bottle, it says, is a tribute “not to places or passing trends, but to the people who shaped him”. That is why every fragrance bears the name of someone dear and becomes their portrait. Moe describes them in the first person: Amal is his mother, “an irreplaceable angel”; Leen is his eldest sister, “the beacon I rely on to guide me”; Hala is “an adorable princess”; Tariq is “the most loving and caring brother someone could hope for”.
The story unfolds in chapters. Chapter I came out in December 2022 with the four perfumes of his family of origin: “art and scent capturing my life's story”, writes Moe. Chapter II is dedicated to his nieces and nephews, “to the laughter, wonder, and boundless energy of the youngest souls in my life”: first came Senna and Zaid, then in 2025 Adam and Lulu, Cece and Solomon. The tone becomes brighter and more playful, with notes such as the coconut powder of Senna, the vanilla ice cream and marshmallow of Cece, the lemon cake of Solomon. They are joined by Sami, a citrus floral with champagne notes.
The sign that ties everything together is the mandala. It decorates every bottle, different for each fragrance, and on the maison's website even the olfactory pyramid is called “The Fragrance Mandala”: the design and the composition are born together. Many inspirations, the brand says, come from “a life filled with wandering travels, different adventures and sparkling discoveries”. The fragrances are all unisex Eau de Parfum in 80 ml, made in the United Arab Emirates.

- Chapter I: from 2022, dedicated to his mother, his sisters and his brother. Four warm, enveloping Eau de Parfum, united by bases of amber and vanilla. Leen, Tariq, Amal and Hala.
- Chapter II: released between 2024 and 2025, dedicated to his nieces and nephews. A brighter, more playful tone, with creamy gourmands, mouth-watering citrus, fruit and green woods. Senna, Zaid, Solomon, Cece, Lulu and Adam.
