The story

Marcoccia is a Roman brand of artistic perfumery that bears the name of its founder and creator, Andrea Marcoccia. “Our adventure began in 2006”, the brand writes on its website: at the origin are a passion for travel and the sensations felt before Italian landscapes, to be turned into fragrances that tell of the natural beauty of the Bel Paese. The brand still introduces itself this way today: artistic perfumery Made in Italy, born from precious raw materials and authentic creativity.

Before today's collections there were other lines, all created by Andrea Marcoccia: Aqua di Ponza, Officine del Profumo, the Collezione Casa home line and Bottega del Profumo, with fragrances named after streets and squares of Rome and Florence, from Via dei Condotti to Piazza della Signoria. At the time the brand's website described an all-Italian artisanal process: production in its own laboratories in Fondi, in the province of Latina, the engraving of the bottles, bottling and packaging done by hand, perfume by perfume.

Today the fragrances are gathered in three collections. The Dark Collection has an intense, nocturnal character: dark bottles and accords of oud, saffron, coffee, tuberose and amber. The Pure Collection is its luminous counterpart, in clear glass: citrus, white flowers, milk and coconut. The Piaceri Collection, presented in 2025, is devoted to the small everyday pleasures of Italian life. Some fragrances have a longer history than the collection they belong to: Black Jack and Qahwa were already in the catalogue in 2020 in the Officine del Profumo line, before joining the Dark Collection. Born from an Italian olfactory tradition, the brand says today, its fragrances reflect passion, elegance and a contemporary spirit.

• And also: Xtravaganza (a tribute to ballroom culture and the club scene of the 1980s: bergamot, mandarin, lavender, amber, vanilla and sandalwood), which in 2024 the brand's website presented in the Dark line.
