An Indian dancer, soft and nomadic like sand, glides across the stage while performing the cobra dance. Proud, sensual, invincible . A long choreographic veil rises with every step, with every posture; it enchants, shocks and enraptures. A breath of cocoa and the patchouli takes over, we are in the house of the Kalbelia women who bewitch the souls who come to confide, to rest and dance with the Naja sisters.
Spices from every corner of India, the cradle of cosmic knowledge, are like joyful and fragrant confetti thrown into a huge alley, the alley of kings covered with incense, sandalwood, leather and sand dunes.
Sand Dance is inspired by the most sensual dance movements of the Kalbelia dancers, a nomadic people from Rajahstan, the land of kings in northern India and the gateway to the East . The women , dressed in sublime black dresses with multicolored decorations and adorned with jewels, sway gracefully and sinuously like snakes. They twirl to the sound of the musicians who follow them in their fervor until they reach a state of trance that causes great emotion. Sand Dance is a sensational show in the heart of the desert, where the burning wind carries in its wake a breath of spices. A captivating fragrance , made of warm and sweet notes of Cocoa , with a hypnotic beauty and charm.
