The Fragrance

Afterglow tells the story of the moment right after sunset: the sun has just disappeared over the horizon, the sky still burns with its last colours, and the waves accompany lovers on the shore as day gives way to night. Where L'Original captures the full light of the desert at noon, Afterglow tells its warmer, darker, more sensual echo, keeping the same DNA but pushing it into more resinous territory.

How It Wears on Skin

The opening picks up chamomile and bergamot from the Original, but here incense darkens them right away, giving a citrusy, spiced entrance with a smoky nuance the base version lacks. The heart brings myrrh, iris butter, amber and orchid: it's the creamiest, most resinous passage, where the orchid softens the structure without ever letting it slip into pure sweetness. The base closes on benzoin, vanilla, vetiver and styrax, for a warm, enveloping dry down, more mature and evening-suited than L'Original. Wearers often describe it as a more intense, smokier version of the original, with longevity ranging between 7 and 10 hours.
