Fakhama opens with a regal, multifaceted bouquet of roses: Turkish rose and Bulgarian rose intertwine with Damask rose in an extremely rich floral heart, while bergamot lends a citrus freshness and sweet orange a luminous juiciness. Fruity notes and spicy notes add depth from the very first moment, elemi brings a resinous nuance, while coffee and dried and candied fruit lend a warm, enveloping gourmand quality. Fakhama struck us for the way it approaches a theme already widely explored in niche perfumery — the amber rose — with an uncommon richness of materials: three distinct rose varieties in dialogue within the same accord, an amber base made even deeper by castoreum and civet, and a touch of caramelized sugar that sweetens without ever tipping into cloying.
