The Fragrance

Carved Oud is inspired by the ancient Indian ritual of the sixteen adornments, in which a woman was adorned with precious perfumes and jewels to celebrate her beauty, until she became the image of the perfect goddess carved in the reliefs of the temples. The South Indian oud chosen for this fragrance recreates the atmosphere of temples carved in wood and stone: a tribute to beauty and femininity that anyone can wear naturally.

How It Evolves on Skin

The opening is spicy and bright: cardamom joins the earthy note of cypriol and the resinous freshness of cypress oil. In the heart, smooth and refined oud blends with cedarwood and patchouli. The base is warm and long-lasting: vetiver, amber, musk, labdanum and sandalwood create an enveloping, silky trail.

What is cypriol?
It is the essence obtained from the roots of an Indian herbaceous plant, also known as nagarmotha, with a woody, earthy and slightly smoky scent. In Carved Oud it appears right in the opening, alongside cardamom and cypress oil.
