Kalahari is a unisex eau de parfum by Noème Paris, the Parisian haute parfumerie house whose name means “the inaccessible”, from the philosophical concept of the noema. It is a warm, mysterious woody amber scent with a spicy character, inspired by the vastness of the desert: one of the house's most loved creations.

The Fragrance

Kalahari is born from imagining the desert: its immensity, its softness and its harshness, a world full of secrets and surprises. The house draws on a line by writer Erik Orsenna, “what does someone who only looks at a grain of sand know about the desert?”, and translates it into a complex fragrance that reveals itself little by little, conveying a sense of balance and harmony between the elements, just like the landscape it portrays. It belongs to the Iconique collection, the house's first, and is signed by perfumer Majda Bekkali.

How It Evolves on Skin

The opening is warm and bright: bergamot lights up next to saffron and cardamom, in a refined spicy accord. In the heart the fragrance deepens, with the softness of amber, cedarwood and the resinous warmth of labdanum. In the base, incense blends with cashmeran and musk, in an enveloping, elegant, sensual trail.
